This isn’t to scare you. This is to wake you up. Because if nothing lasts forever, then what we do with the time we have matters more than anything.

When you’re reminded of death, two questions always come: “What was it all for?” and “Where am I going?”

That’s where faith comes in. Whether you believe in God, ancestors, or a higher purpose, faith gives your short life meaning. It tells you that you are not an accident. That your pain has purpose. That your tears are seen.

Being fair means:

• Forgive before it’s too late. Don’t let someone die while you’re still angry.
• Help the person struggling. That “champ” you’re transporting today might be the one who helps your children tomorrow.
• Speak kindly. Words online last forever. Don’t leave hate as your last comment.
• Share. If God blesses you with more, let others eat too. You can’t take it to the grave.

The Zambian way, the African way, is community. “Umuntu ni muntu nabantu.” A person is a person because of other people. Let’s return to that.
